In the above example, a construction defect glass loss, the glass lites had been assembled as panelized units and inserted into the masonry wall openings. All lites were damaged during final cleaing and required replacement. Our investigation revealed structural damage to the glass and a defect wherein the metalic coating was placed on the incorrect side of the IGU* assembly during manufacturing.

Investigations of glass and windows systems include the evaluation of windborn debris, impact damage, construction and installation defects, glass material defects and maintenance related damage to glass surfaces.
